Bonjour, c’est
Anaïs.
I am a French native from Brittany. I started teaching French in Melbourne in 2019.
Having taught many students over the last few years, with excellent results and reviews, I specialise in Private Tuition and Group Conversation, from beginners to advanced speakers, from individual to group lessons.
I can teach French to children (including bilingual kids following the French Educational Program), high school students and adults starting from scratch, as well as help students prepare for exams (VCE, IB, DELF, DALF…), and stay motivated.
I am completing the DELF Language Certification. I graduated with a master's in International Studies at the University Paris 8 in 2013. After working for ten years in the Cultural Event industry in Paris and in Brittany, I quit my job in France to travel around Australia. Six years later, I am still here, enjoying the Australian way of life with my beautiful family.
Being a foreigner myself, I understand that learning a new language takes a lot of practice, patience and motivation. That's why my lessons are always varied, enjoyable and suit each student’s needs.
Being passionate about French grammar and culture, naturally generous and enthusiastic, I love it when students discover the French and Breton culture. My lessons are fun and entertaining. I am flexible and adaptable and will do my best to suit the needs of my students.
I am always ready to share my culture and background, being really proud of French literature, cinema, music, theatre, and history, and I will look deeper if necessary. I am also passionate about food, so be prepared to hear a lot about traditional foods, which are definitely a part of French culture and tradition.
I am incredibly proud of French culture and will talk passionately about literature, cinema, music, theatre, history and food. Especially food, as I was fortunate to grow up in a family where good food and wine were at the centre of all the discussions.
